Emma Curtis, contralto has long specialised in the Baroque repertory and, as an opera singer working internationally, early music remains her passion. Huw Daniel

Huw Daniel, baroque violin
Huw is member of the English Concert and has also played with the King’s Consort, the English Concert, the Irish Baroque Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Les Arts Florissants, the London Handel Orchestra, and the Sixteen. He is the leader of the Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música, Porto and Harmony of Nations, and guest-leader of Collegium Musicum Telemann, Osaka, Japan, and St James’s Baroque.

James O'Toole, baroque violin and folk-fiddle
co-founded the band Licence to Ceilidh in 2001, now one of England's premier folk bands. Descended from Irish stock, Jim finds the music from Ireland the most important influence upon his fiddling style.  As a baroque player, Jim has worked for La Serenissima, English Touring Opera, the Classical Opera Company, the Irish Baroque Orchestra and has toured with the European Union Baroque Orchestra.

 

Catherine Martin,baroque violin
Catherine leads Gabrieli Consort and Players and Early Opera Company, in addition to frequently being engaged as a leader/director for English Concert and Florilegium and I Fagiolini.. She also leads Ensemble Galant and has recently joined Solomon String Quartet, led by Simon Standage. Catherine is a sought-after soloist, and has done several CD recordings, most notably as soloist with Gabrieli Players on Deutsche Grammophon and with Ensemble Galant on EMI.
Frances Kelly, welsh triple harp, arpa doppia
Well known both as a chamber musician and soloist, Frances is a leading exponent of early harps and much in demand as a continuo player. She has worked with many distinguished ensembles including the Gabrieli Consort and Players, the New London Consort, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Brandenburg Consort. She has numerous recordings to her name and her work has taken her throughout Europe and to the USA, China and Japan.
Annie Laflamme, transverse flute (german flute)
As a soloist and chamber musician Annie has performed with orchestras and ensembles including , Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal conducted by Charles Dutoit, I Musici de Montréal, Orchestre symphonique de l'Estuaire, Camerata Lutherana Wien, Concilium musicum Wien, Haydn Akademie, Kremerata Baltica, L'Orfeo Barockorchester, Damals und Heute, Barucco, Neue Hofkapelle München, Orpheon Vienna, A la Maresienne and Ensemble Kosma.
Jorge Jimenez

Jorge Jimenez, baroque violin
Born in Catalunya, Jorge is a founder member of Xacona and a member of The King’s Consort, Al Ayre Español  and is leader of second violins with Das Neue Orchester. He has also performed with The Irish Baroque Orchestra, Orquesta Barroca de Mallorca, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, amongst others. Jorge has been invited to lead and direct groups including L'Harmonia del Parnas, Ensemble Fontegara, Il Nuovo Settimino, Il Concerto Barrocco and the Sweelink Barok Orkest.

Natasha Kraemer, baroque cello
Natasha performs with many orchestras and chamber groups working in the UK and travelling abroad. These include The Gabrieli Players, English Concert, The Sixteen, Hanover Band, English Baroque Soloists and Classical Opera Company. She is principal cellist with The Sweelinck Ensemble and Saraband Consort. She has recorded Haydn’s The Creation with The Gabrieli Players and Handel Arias with countertenor Rolando Villazon with the same group, both for Deutsche Grammophon.
Joy Smith, baroque harp
Joy specialises in the Italian arpa doppia and celtic harps and has toured with the Gabrieli Consort and Players, and with ensembles including i fagionlini and Scharivari Agréeable. As a continuo accompanist Joy has worked with Ivor Boulton at Münich State Opera, as Harp soloist in Monteverdi’s Orfeo with Peter Holman, for Opera North and the New London Consort. Joy has played at such diverse occasions as the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, a harp recital for Queen Elizabeth II, and at Glastonbury Rock Festival with electric harp.
