Born in Sept-Îles, Canada, Annie Laflamme studied flute at the Conservatory of Rimouski with Richard Lapointe before attending McGill University in Montreal where she studied with Carolyn Christie und Denis Bluteau obtaining a Master's degree in 1998. She has participated in several master courses, most notably held by Robert Aitken, Patrick Gallois, Robert Langevin, Emmanuel Pahud, Benoit Fromanger and Maxence Larrieu as well as Martin Sandhoff and Linde Brunmayr for Traverso. Annie Laflamme has performed with several orchestras and ensembles such as the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal under Charles Dutoit, I Musici de Montréal, the Orchestre symphonique de l'Estuaire, the Camerata Lutherana Wien, Concilium musicum Wien, Haydn Akademie, Kremerata Baltica, Bochum Barock and Barucco. Both as a soloist and a chambrist, she has given many concerts, for example with the Orpheon Vienna, A la Maresienne, and with the Ensemble Kosma. In addition, she has participated in radio broadcasts in Canada (CBC), in Austria (Ö1) and Italia (RAI). In 2000, Annie Laflamme began studies on the traverso at the Vienna Conservatory. She continued her studies with Wilbert Hazelzet at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, graduating in June 2005.
